Stu: LOVE THE COVER, thought it was a record I had in my collection!! Then listened and was rather disappointed!!! t’s a little saccharine for me!!I can see this guy pulling in lots of fans! It’s just washing over me I’m sorry to say. Plus his name fails to match his music. Is it Country? He may well get nominated for some awards, his voice is rather unique.

Paul: I saw Mr Ballgame on The Last Leg, he seemed a lovely bloke but I was a bit worried I'd find this album uninteresting. But it's not as sweet as Stuart makes out or as bland as I feared. There's a seventies feel about it in a lot of places with shades of John Lennon, Roy Orbison and recent choice BC Camplight.

He has a distinctive voice and a great bunch of musicians working with him. What would knock this album up in my estimation is a bit of an edge. But that's on me. Maybe he's just too nice a bloke for that. I liked it, I wish him well but I probably won't revisit.

Dean: Dear Tyler, How sweetly you sing and with a range from Roy Orbison through Paul McCartney and even approaching the Noddy Holderesque at times. How sweetly you wooed me and how undeserving I was and how little I appreciated your skill and talents. Vast as they undoubtedly are.

Our love was never destined to endure. I think I knew that from the start but hesitated to give voice to doubts I had from our first meeting. I wish you well.I will remember your warbling tones and honest sentiments for at least a year but I cannot profess any enduring love.

I hope we will part without acrimony and wish each other well.

Ben: easy listening, good tunes, love songs. Roy Orbison soundalike. A bit quirky. It was nice to have a break from the rock bands. I liked it but it certainly isn’t breaking much new ground. But the melodies are great. However I do have a slightly uncomfortable feeling that this is a bit too Harry Stiles / Ed Sheeran / Michael Buble et al adjacent which isn’t somewhere I really think we should be going. Nice songs though.
